Welcome to a new and fantastic year! It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal at Lee Central Middle School. I am excited to be your new principal and look forward to getting to know each and every one of our students.

For the past fourteen years, I have served as an assistant principal at both the middle and high school levels and as principal at the middle school level. Prior to my role as an administrator, I taught mathematics at the high school level as a National Board Certified teacher. My experiences in the classroom and in school leadership at both the middle and secondary levels have served to broaden my perspective of teaching and learning. In addition to my role as an educator, I am a wife, mother a proud grandmother of an 18 month old. I look forward to getting to know all of you and the people most important in your lives. I have studied and earned degrees at South Carolina State University, Francis Marion University, Winthrop University and the University of South Carolina. I successfully completed the State Department of Education’s Transformational Leadership Academy and am endorsed as a Transformational Leader in South Carolina.

Although I have enjoyed many years of teaching mathematics, it is in my position as an administrator where I have been most fulfilled in my life’s work. The principalship provides me opportunities to work collaboratively with professionals on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to student learning. I believe that every child deserves the best educational experiences we can provide. This means that we must learn and grow as do our children!

It is my goal to continue the tradition of excellence here at Lee Central Middle School. I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to effectively communicate with you, parents and community members.
