round the course of the classroom are Next News 19 teacher of the week is making sure her students and student-athletes dream big and work hard it's a oh that's even posted right outside of her classroom at least Central Middle School Christy calcagno shows us how her impact in education reaches far beyond the classroom during big and work hard so she's just trying to help us and I'll get bigger by dream big so we can get our picture up for what letter what we go through you find Alyssa Williams the past 10 years has been inspiring her students to dream big and work hard she's a very nice teacher I like her she's guess she do the very good student and she was always hardworking inspiring time and I need helps you there help me she explained everything and I'm frustrated she always pick me up then I can do it meet me at the middle school for the big surprise hello mrs. Williams will my name is Christy calcagno from WLTX congratulations you're our teacher of the week can we give it up for your teacher we got a little second surprise for you as well just deal with emotional it makes me really happy that I was able to have an impact on her that's part of why I do what I and I'm hopeful that I'm able to encourage more as I continue my teaching career was inspired to teach by her family members who are also a caters and she's actually now principal so she's kind of pushed me into education degrees at Grand Canyon and Walden she got one. at the high school level does that rhyme with any of the other word but her passion was Middle School Ela. We'll give you a few minutes to do this and then we'll come back now she's teaching reading and writing the last I knew I wanted to see what she doesn't just motivate her students in the classroom has volleyball and then almost a basketball court as the volleyball coach title in the program's history last year I know I want come back and be something bright from the community and being here it's been it's been good being able to teach the students something that I know I'm I'm starting to teach some students parents that I want gooey butter message to her students and athletes Remains the Same and you can do anything you put your mind to I'll just keep working hard and stay true to yourself and be a light sweet so sweet yes Miss Williams be a light that is a good encouragement and not just your students but everybody wants to be recognized for their hard work in the classroom please don't hesitate to send us an email tow at wltx.com make sure you tell us all the wonderful things that the educator dies and who knows Christie may be showing up and your favorite teachers classroom next to
